Loop Day 14&15- Betsy

We have been hanging in Rondout Bay Yacht Marina for two days in the rain and cold. Highs of 54 are a little cold for us and the electric blanket felt really good getting into bed last night. We are leaving here around 11 to head to an anchorage near New Baltimore, NY hoping that the rain will taper off enough to not get soaked when we pump-out and throw off the lines. We didn't take many pictures on the way here or in the marina. We are close to the town of Kingston but it is across the creek (about a 1.5 walk or short dingy ride) but in the rain that didn't sound appealing!

Forgot to post this the other day- this was our 4th nuclear power plant we passed since starting our Loop. This is Indian Point the controversial plant closest to NYC

This was just one of the many freight trains we saw along the Hudson River. If my mom were still alive she would always say "There goes my pension!" As you head north on the Hudson the freight trains are on your left (port side) and the passenger trains are on your right (starboard).

We won't be posting tonight as we won't have internet in the anchorage and we went over our monthly data last night watching the season finale of Nashville. It was so worth it Ben Frye- my data monitor!
